"I remember a mom who called our Warmline on a Monday morning, her voice heavy with overwhelm as she grappled with major decisions about her son's disabilities and the daunting transition to adulthood. As we talked, I could hear the tension easing from her words—she finally felt like she wasn't facing this alone. Drawing from my own experiences as a parent, I truly understood her struggles, and she opened up about everything she'd tried so far, plus the options she hadn't yet explored. By the end of our conversation, she expressed deep gratitude for the support and genuine connection. What touched me most was how she started the call hesitant about joining a group of other parents with similar challenges, but left excited to be part of one. This is why the Warmline matters—it's a lifeline that turns isolation into empowerment."
